1. What is the current project challenge that you are addressing for our customer?

Our customer, a large pharmaceutical company needed a Business Intelligence developer to produce data sets and data visualizations to help stakeholders identify business trends and the impact of strategic decisions. The first task was working with the Marketing Manager and Director to identify causes and effects of various email and social media marketing strategies to identify where marketing spends did not result in a significant improvement of candidate click-throughs or further marketing material sign-ups.

The second endeavor was to create an organizational health dashboard and distilling out key performance metrics from a historically used spreadsheet. Senior leadership originally felt that nearly a hundred metrics on this spreadsheet provided a clear message on the overall health and performance of the business. Based on design requirements our consultant produced a multifaceted Tableau “dashboard” to consolidate these key metrics.

2. What is the solution that you are providing for the customer?

Using the Denodo Data Virtualization platform our consultant built data sets that could be consumed through several analysis and reporting tools. The newly constructed data sets were then leveraged by SQL Server Analysis Services and Tableau Reporting. Several SSAS Cubes were built to establish a self-service reporting platform where anyone in the business could leverage their Excel experience and begin to perform their own analyses of metrics to make decisions for the business.

3. How did this project help our customer achieve ROI and improve business efficiencies to grow their business?

These Tableau reports and dashboards were created for upper level management and senior leadership to gain insight into overall organizational performance.

Data Warehouse

1. What is the current project challenge that you are addressing for our customer?

Our customer is a world leading provider of genomic-based diagnostic tests that address both the overtreatment and optimal treatment of early-stage cancer. They needed a team SQL Server and SSIS data people to help augment their team in order to meet their deliverables. They were holding varied data from multiple systems and in different formats. Data needed to be modeled to fit into SalesForce and NetSuite. Our team was given a short duration to accomplish this massive task since both systems where going live on the same date.

We delivered a high quality technical solution to the business by moving all data from homegrown applications into a cloud based application. Our consultants where involved in data cleansing, data analysis, massaging, conversion and migration.

3. How did this project help our customer achieve ROI and improve business efficiencies to grow their business?

These new systems allowed our customer scalability for future growth. In addition to this it provided Universal IT standards which allowed them easy collaboration & partnering with other companies. The Self-Service Analytics feature enabled employees to make better decisions faster which gave our customer the ability to administer more diagnostic cancer tests to help save people’s lives.

BI Tools

1. What is the current project challenge that you are addressing for our customer?

Our consultant served as a Business Intel Developer for our client; a global web-based travel company.

Within this role we addressed queries of Finance, Marketing and Supply team. We provided required data via Dashboards. These dashboards may be checked and validated regularly. Our customer can now develop new insights from the data which is updated automatically (requires no manual work) and make quality decisions. Most of their data analysis and reports were in Excel. We automated to tableau dashboard with multiple new graphs offering new insights.

2.What was the solution our consultant(s) provided for the customer?

The Maverick Tech Partners Consultant built an interactive dashboard to see hidden data and trends. Our consultant also extricated data from oracle data warehouse, Teradata and AWS to put together in tableau dashboard.

We constantly adjusted the build to new requirements. It is now very easy as it’s fully automated with multiple filters and options to go deep into the data analysis. As of now we have built 5-6 workbooks which consists of 17-19 views (dashboards) each, for all of their products covering all aspects of seeing the data like YoY, variance, Margin, Waterfall and other analysis graphs. In addition to this, we provided daily support on SQL, Hive, Teradata and Tableau and Excel.

3. How did this project help our customer achieve ROI and improve business efficiencies to grow their business?

This project helped save time due to complex data. The data is now accessible with multiple options, no manual work, and new graphs with variety of new ways to see the data for decision making. We have automated several dashboards which increased speed for both Marketing and Supply teams. We are helping validate data and/or queries related to the trend which helps determines the causes for fall or growth in trends.
