NetSuite Business Data Analyst  

1. What is the current Project Challenge that you are addressing for our customer?

Our customer (a Cancer Diagnostic testing company) needed someone to provide business analysis for a NetSuite Integration. In addition, they needed this person to build and test integration points for ReQlogic, SharePoint, TFS and ServiceNow error reduction process, to find the root cause of integration errors, etc.

2. What is the Solution that you are providing for the customer?

Our consultant created user requirements and workflows for NetSuite while working closely with Finance end users to ensure the NetSuite application met the needs of the business. Additionally, our consultant worked with internal and external teams, both domestic and international, to ensure that integration errors where resolved in a timely manner.

3. How did this project help our customer achieve ROI and improve business efficiencies to grow their business?

All this work was in an effort to help the business improve the revenue recognition and month end close which helped our customer to maximize their investment in NetSuite to ensure that the company could continue to handle the explosive growth of their product line.

 

 

Sr. Project Manager

1.  What is the current Project Challenge that you are addressing for our customer? 

Providing Project Management to Diagnostic Testing company who has a small IT department as well as building a Project Management methodology.

2.  What is the Solution that you are providing for the customer?

Providing Project Management on 5 to 7 active concurrent projects, all of which are small to medium size requiring one or two technical resources. These projects were developed and delivered successfully, on-time and on-budget. These projects also included infrastructure upgrades and application rollouts and upgrades.

Developed a Project Management methodology geared to the culture inherent in a small company and IT group that was fast moving to maximize efficiencies without inhibiting productivity amongst the team to provide minimal overheard and cost containment for our customer.

3.  How did this project help our customer achieve ROI and improve business efficiencies to grow their business?

The completed projects fell into three categories; technology upgrade, deployment of new technology, and business applications. All of which either directly or indirectly reduced cost, improved quality of IT services for internal and external customers, and the deployment of new or upgraded technologies that insured availability and security of IT services.

Developed tools to provide increased transparency of status on IT projects and resources.

Microsoft Business Intelligence Developer

1. What is the current Project Challenge that you are addressing for our customer?

Our customer needed a Business Intelligence developer to produce data sets and data visualizations to help stakeholders identify business trends and the impact of strategic decisions. The first task was working with the Marketing Manager and Director to identify causes and effects of various email and social media marketing strategies to identify where marketing spends did not result in a significant improvement of candidate click-throughs or further marketing material sign-ups.

The second endeavor was to create an organizational health dashboard and distilling out key performance metrics from a historically used spreadsheet. Senior leadership originally felt that nearly a hundred metrics on this spreadsheet provided a clear message on the overall health and performance of the business. Based on design requirements our consultant produced a multifaceted Tableau “dashboard” to consolidate these key metrics.

2. What is the Solution that you are providing for the customer?

Using the Denodo Data Virtualization platform our consultant built data sets that could be consumed through several analysis and reporting tools. The newly constructed data sets were then leveraged by SQL Server Analysis Services and Tableau Reporting. Several SSAS Cubes were built to establish a self-service reporting platform where anyone in the business could leverage their Excel experience and begin to perform their own analyses of metrics to make decisions for the business.

3. How did this project help our customer achieve ROI and improve business efficiencies to grow their business?

These Tableau reports and dashboards were created for upper level management and senior leadership to gain insight into overall organizational performance.

 

Desktop Support Analyst

1. What is the current Project Challenge that you are addressing for our customer?

The Maverick Consultant assisted our customer in the migration to Office 365 while also assisting our customer in migrating the entire company to the Windows 10 platform. In addition to this project work our consultant provided day to day resolution of IT support tickets for both internal user and external brokers, material being sent out by management, and monitored tickets to determine trends and ways of making communication more efficient.

2. What is the Solution that you are providing for the customer?

To effectively manage the upgrade and day to day support work our consultant utilized the combination of documentation using Microsoft OneNote, communication and ticket documentation using Zendesk, communication with other members of the team using Outlook, Microsoft Teams to ensure the successful completion of the update while maintaining all the needs of the end user community. In addition to this work our consultant has been able to increase communication across the team by laying a foundation built on documentation of how to respond to a variety of issues. The number of tickets the team can resolve has increased and the ability to curtail tickets by providing improved documentation for the end users has also been substantial

3. How did this project help our customer achieve ROI and improve business efficiencies to grow their business?

The work that our consultant accomplished has allowed senior level resources in the Charleston, South Carolina office to focus their work in a variety of areas to work on engineering new solutions to make the brokers business more efficient, enabling the sales organization to gain market share and increase revenue in the competitive high-end property and casualty insurance market.

 

Sr. PeopleSoft HCM (Functional) Consultant

1. What is the current Project Challenge that you are addressing for our customer?

Our customer is a Billion-dollar publicly traded Staffing company who needed assistance becoming payroll complaint for the Fair Labor Standards Act (FSLA). In addition to this our customer needed to streamline and document their business processes to align with Peoplesoft HCM. They also needed to develop Change Management policies and training for PeopleSoft HCM.

2. What is the Solution that you are providing for the customer?

We assisted our customer in creating a solution to help them manage their extremely complex pay practices by building workflows in PeopleSoft HCM to integrate with a 3rd party payroll company.  We helped our customer come up with a creative way for them manage this process so that they pay their employees and are compliant with all DOL laws within each individual state.  We also helped them build a strategic plan to maximize their investment in PeopleSoft HCM and improve their internal business processes.  Our comprehensive strategic plan helped accommodate a much-needed change management process that led to additional training for our customer’s employee base.

3. How did this project help our customer achieve ROI and improve business efficiencies to grow their business?

By facilitating these changes our customer has been able to meet the demands of a complicated payroll process to prevent any fines that could be assessed by DOL for not being compliant with FLSA guidelines. By improving the workflow and change management controls our customer could reduce administrative staff by having these processes automated in PeopleSoft HCM which has given our customer a level of consistency to manage their national based business across the entire organization.
