1. What was the project challenge that we addressed for our customer?
Our client is a global biotech company that aims to discover, develop and commercialize innovative medicines so people with serious diseases can lead better lives. In addition to their clinical development programs focused on cystic fibrosis, this organization has more than a dozen ongoing research programs aimed at other serious and life-threatening diseases. Founded in 1989 in Cambridge, for five • years in a row, Science magazine has named this company one of its “Top Employers in the life sciences”.
This client reached out to us as they needed assistance with their Oracle ERP Systems so they could sell their product in new countries. They needed expertise with EB Tax module to expand their global R12 EBS footprint within tight deadlines.
2. What was the solution our consultant(s) provided for the customer?
This project allowed customers to tabulate taxes for financial reporting which helps them to track the VAT tax for each country. This allowed them to keep track of the recoverable taxes. The Maverick Technology Partners consultants helped make our client self reliant and prepare for future expansion.
3. How did this project help our customer achieve ROI and improve business efficiencies to grow their business?
This project allowed our client to gain the ability to roll EB Tax out to these countries a lot quicker with better quality by automating the processes. By gaining these efficiencies they were able to increase market share quickly within the new countries where they rolled out EB Tax.
