1. What was the project challenge that we addressed for our customer?

Our customer is a multi-billion dollar privately held hosting/application management service provider. They needed to be able to scale their applications management team to better serve their end customers in order to gain market share and grow their current AWS business.

The Maverick consultant provided quick, scalable AWS solutions that they can deliver based on best practice solutions provided by the customer’s Application and Infrastructure Management Team.

By providing the talent to support the scale of AWS solutions, the Application Management Team can now build and provide the best technology services for any industry worldwide. This helps their end customer reduce provisioning costs and helps diversify their internal and external cloud platforms while lowering their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Our consultant’s dedication to this project has enabled our customer’s internal resources team to focus on more strategic work to grow their businesses.

 1. What was the project challenge that we addressed for our customer?  

Our Client, an IT Solutions Provider needed a resource to upgrade a MySQL database from the on-premises datacenter and migrate the environment to Amazon RDS for MySQL and Amazon Aurora. The customer’s database was on an older, outdated version with very little documentation available.  

 2. What was the solution our consultant(s) provided for our customer?  

The solution was to migrate slowly to upgrade the databases on-premises and move to the cloud without disrupting day to day business operations. All the customer data had to be upgraded to My SQL version 5.1 before the database could be upgraded to Amazon RDS and Aurora. Our consultant was able to update the database in order to migrate it over to AWS.  

 3. How did this project help our customer achieve ROI and improve business efficiencies to grow their business? 

The customer had other high priority projects which were dependent on the success and completion of this migration project. Having the Maverick consultant on board reduced the project duration time which in turn reduced costs. This migration eliminated on-premise servers which allowed the end customer to save operational expenses costs while ensuring the data is secure and readily available in AWSThe Maverick consultant efficiently worked through each scenario to reach the customer’s goal.
