- How long have you been in Information Technology?
Since May of 2015.
- How did you get involved with your current position?
Maverick reached out to me after seeing my LinkedIn profile. I had been searching for a new position, but my search stalled, and I was feeling stuck. At first, I wasn’t confident in my match to the job description, but I was definitely wrong about that!
- What do you enjoy most about your job?
Being the front-line to user issues and concerns. Being able to dig into existing systems and workflows to try to streamline and make improvements. Learning as I go and developing myself into a true IT Professional.
- What are your thoughts on the future of the IT industry?
The “kids” are all coming, and the industry is going to boom with talent. I hope the industry stays current and can keep up its outward appearance as a cool industry to be in.
- What advice would you give to your 20-year-old self?
I know there is a lot going on, but you matter too.
- Where would you go if you won a free trip to anywhere in the world?
Anywhere with white sand and blue water!
- What are your hobbies or things that you like to do in your free time?
I don’t have much of it! I love to hang out with my kids – 6, 3 and 4-months. Walk my puppy. Take short weekend trips to New Hampshire and if I end up with quiet, alone time, sometimes I draw.
- What do you enjoy about working with Maverick?
I doubted myself after reading through this job description, but Maverick (Michelle specifically) made me realize I was a great candidate. If Michelle had not been so great at boosting my confidence about this, I may not have followed through. And I am so glad I did!
